DCDB 4 In 4 Out — 1000V Fuse SPD (Elmex)

Heavy-duty IP65-rated polycarbonate quad-string DCDB with eight 16A–32A 1000V DC fuses in finger-safe holders and four Type-2 1000V SPDs — high-breaking-capacity short-circuit and transient protection for quad-MPPT solar PV installations.

Inquiry

A heavy-duty quad-string DC distribution box for high-power solar installations running four independent MPPT strings. Each string is fused on both the positive and negative legs — eight 1000V DC fuses in total — housed in finger-safe holders for high-breaking-capacity short-circuit protection and safe servicing. Four Type-2 1000V surge protective devices, one per string, divert lightning and switching transients safely to earth before they reach the inverter. Housed in a rugged IP65-rated polycarbonate enclosure with cable glands, clear labelling, and DC polarity marking. Built with Elmex components throughout. Supplied in bulk; custom configurations on request.

FAQs:

  • How many strings does this handle? Four independent strings (quad-MPPT).
  • Why eight fuses for four strings? Each string is fused on both the positive and negative legs for full DC-side protection.
  • Why 1000V rated? For safe protection on higher string voltages used in larger commercial arrays.
  • What are finger-safe holders? Enclosed fuse holders that prevent accidental contact with live parts during servicing.
  • Fuse or MCB — which should I choose? Fuses give high-breaking-capacity short-circuit protection at lower cost; MCBs are resettable on site. We supply both versions.
  • Bulk/custom orders? Yes — message us on WhatsApp.
